MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - PART-TIME

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - PART-TIME for property located in Kenosha, WI.

Under the direction of the Head Maintenance Technician, and in response to resident job requests, performs the various functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Perform light electrical repairs.
  • Perform light plumbing work.
  • Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
  • Paint interior and exterior of buildings when necessary.
  • Perform minor carpentry work.
  • Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing.
  • Refurbishment of apartments.
  • Repair heating systems.
  • Assist Head Maintenance Technician in making all necessary repairs and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Perform maintenance work at different locations as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong maintenance skills, including experience in plumbing, heating and electrical required.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Drivers License required.

ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER/CARETAKER

We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager/Caretaker to help the Property Manager oversee the day to day activities for a large housing community located in Cudahy, WI.  If you are looking for an opportunity with a growing organization, please keep reading!  Job requirements includes:   

  • Rents apartment to include showing apartments, explaining occupancy terms, and completing paperwork.  Coordinates weekly occupancy summary sheets.
  • Develops and implements a system to include a system for the delivery of all required services to residents, including the immediate acknowledgment of complaints with prompt action to correct a deficiency.  Recommends and inspects contractual maintenance work.  Continual community inspections to assure proper maintenance of property.
  • Monitors and maintain inventory of supplies within budgetary constraints via purchase order system.
  • Develops and implements with the assistance of residents a continuing program of activities to include special events and on-going recreational and instructional activities.
  • Conducts market survey to other communities in geographic area.
  • Perform electrical repairs.
  • Perform plumbing work.
  • Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
  • Paints interior and exterior of buildings when necessary.
  • Perform carpentry work.
  • Refurbishment of apartments.
  • Performs repair heating systems.
  • Performs custodial work to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning, snow/ice removal, grass mowing, etc.
  • Acts in accordance with Metropolitan Associates Safety Policies and Guidelines, in addition to training and supervising employees to follow the same guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
